Dougie Crawford at the Scottish Championship in Courchevel

The Scottish Champs has been held in Courchevel, France for the last few years and so it was again, despite the masses of snow in Scotland. It’s the week after the british so most people stay around and the races are great and a bit more relaxed than the British.

Again I performed pretty well winning both the Scottish titles, slalom and gs. It was a really nice relaxed way to end the season, sitting in the baking sun between runs! While waiting for the final prize giving Andy, Dave and I started a huge snowball fight against the 20 guys in the Scottish team…needless to say it didn’t end brilliantly for us!

I then drove over to Verbier to see my brother, some friends and some of my sponsors, Alyn and Charlie. I had a great weekend hanging out, meeting people and had a great day skiing with my brother, Mike (for the first time in 9 years!).

I then drove home in one of the falling apart ex team vans. Such a relief to get home safe! I am having a few days at home, fixing the back windscreen of the van (ooops!), sorting things out, packing and then I head off on holiday before getting stuck into the fitness work in May.
