Dougie Crawford is an Alpine racer on the British Ski team. He is current British Overall Champion after winning 4 out of 5 events at the Brits (he was 2nd in the other). He races mostly on the World cup and Europa cup circuits specialising in the speed events (downhill, super-g and super-combined).

Career highlights include his World cup debut in Wengen where he finished 39th and his 21st place in the World Championships Downhill in Val D’Isere in 2009.

Dougie was born in Bearsden, near Glasgow and grew up skiing on dry slope and on snow in Scotland before travelling abroad for training and racing.

In the coming seasons Dougie will be blogging on Alpine Guru about his travels across Europe and the rest of the globe racing and training as well as giving some information about the lesser-seen aspects of life as a ski racer.
