Chalet Panda is a modern property with traditional alpine touches that create a comfortable and relaxing environment. The chalet has a secluded position within easy reach of La Tania town centre and the Folyeres piste which are both just a short walk away. It’s a chalet that I’ve become quite fond of and not just for it’s name. From the cowhide armchairs through to the television and games ‘snug’ room, the property really quite special.
The Details
Chalet Panda has six bedrooms including two luxurious suites that have small balconies for taking in the views and seating areas. These rooms are ideal as family rooms and one has a separate sleeping area attached. The further bedrooms are doubles and twins with one children’s bunk room.
The living and dining spaces are relaxing and informal and as mentioned earlier there’s a television snug which is great for kicking back with a movie or if the kids want to play games. There’s a sauna in the chalet and an outdoor hot tub too which are always a hit with guests.
The Service
The chalet comes with a dedicated host and a chef with a shared driver who can help to get you in to town or the ski lifts. Champagne receptions, pre-dinner drinks with canapes and gourmet evening meals are on the cards as part of the price here and there’s an open bar with house wines, beers and soft drinks and some cheeky champagne for the hot tub as well. A continental breakfast is laid out each morning and the chef will always prepare a hot option too.
On reflection it’s not often we find such a list of services at a chalet of this calibre for such reasonable prices. Prices start from £610 per person and go up to £1,100 in peak season when the chalet has to be booked on an exclusive basis.
