The Good Web Guide Awards

Saturday, August 11th, 2012

Earlier this year we joined The Good Web Guide and the team did a great write up of our site. Since 2008 they’ve been running annual awards for the best websites with some of the greatest sites out there entering. With a substantial following these awards are prestigious for the internet business community and previous judges have included the likes of former Dragons Den star and School for Start Ups founder Doug Richards and Jo Malone MBE.

We’re already extremely excited about the awards and The Good Web Guide have already decided to ‘Shine the spotlight’ on us by running an interview with us about Alpine Guru. They feature one site per week in this series and its a great opportunity to get more exposure and show what we’re all about.

There are twelve categories showcasing sites from retail through to education, we’re in the travel category and up against some amazing and very well known websites. Shortlisted sites will be announced in October and the awards ceremony takes place in November.

Please help us by telling judges and The Good Web Guide about us and our site

It never hurts for people to say good things about you and we need to show the judges that we have support from our customers, friends and followers.

You can help us by doing these 3 things

1. Visiting The Good Web Guide and telling them why we deserve to win
2. Tweet @thegoodwebguide and let them know you have our back
3. Shout from the roof tops about our customer service and fine taste in ski chalets & hotels

This year the judges are:
Alex Chesterman the founder of Zoopla
Alexandra Chong the CEO of Luluvise
Gabrielle Soleberry a director at Soleberry Advisory
Julie Meyer the founder at Ariadne Capital
Chris Turner former MD of Springwise

Pinterest Alpine Guru

If you like searching online, you’ll have heard of the relative new-comer to the social world: Pinterest. We’re now pinning everything we like online whether it’s a recipe, a jaw-dropping view or a WOW Factor Ski Chalet.

Those of you who are already following our movements online will know that we’re pretty active on social media, and hopefully Pinterest will be a great new medium for us to share our holiday inspiration, passions and any other stuff we find online that we think you might like. We’re just getting started but watch out for regular updates. Remember you can check us out on Facebook or send us a tweet on twitter, we love to hear from you.

And big thanks to one of our Facebook followers for the inspiration behind the title of this post, we might even have to make up a copy of our goat specially for playing ‘Pin the tail on the goat.’
