La Vieille Forge in Chamonix

La Vielle Forge is a stylish and characterful chalet located within walking distance of the pistes in Les Houches at the southern end of the Chamonix valley. The property sleeps fourteen adults in seven bedrooms with additional space for a number of children if required. Comfortable retro furniture and décor have been carefully selected to create the ambience of a traditional mountain retreat.

The large living room on the ground floor has leather sofas and chairs set around a wood burning stove and leads to a lovely wood-panelled dining room. The living space is equipped with satellite TV, Wii games console and a sound system. There is also a sauna, laundry facilities and a staff bedroom on this level.

The main entrance is on the first floor where there is a boot room, kitchen and breakfast room and three double bedrooms.

On the second floor are three more double bedrooms and a family room with a double bed, two single beds and a cot if required. The treatment room on this floor has a sofa bed for extra sleeping space if required.

All the bedrooms have either private en-suite facilities or are directly adjacent to a bathroom and most of them can be made up as doubles or twins as required.

The chalet is set in a large garden surrounded by trees, with an outdoor hot tub and a barbeque for the spring and summer. There is parking space for up to four cars.
