Section 8 Ski Leadership - Mount Washington
Our 12 week “Snowsport Leadership Training” program is perfect for your gap year or career break. While many ski instructor courses teach you how to look pretty on a groomed slope, the “SLT” is an intensive all mountain training program designed to maximize your potential as a skier or rider as well as develop your leadership skills. We teach you the fastest line down a race course, how to tear up the terrain park, how to charge the off-piste steeps, how to safely explore the backcountry and everything in between. Experience the freedom of being able to tackle the whole mountain in any conditions and get a head start to a career as a ski or snowboard instructor as well as many other aspects of the industry such as guiding, coaching and outdoor leadership.

12 Week Snowsport Leadership
Certification membership and exams included in the course fees:
Ski: CSIA level 1 & CSIA level 2 exams and membership, Avalanche Safety Training level 1 & level 2 certification, a 50hr Wilderness First-Aid certification, CPR level C and CSIA Snow Park Trained qualification.
12 Week SLT fees also includes: 12 Weeks of shared on mountain ski in ski out accommodation, transportation within the program, evening meals Monday – Friday & all meals on overnight backcountry trips, full seasons pass (including night skiing/riding and X-Country) at Mt. Washington Alpine Resort, coaching, guiding and training fees in a variety of ski or snowboard disciplines, GS race module, terrain park module, video analysis, dry-land training and evening workshops, backcountry equipment rentals, safety equipment and group gear rentals, course materials, optional work practicum, some extra-curricular activities and social events, Program DVD, certificate of completion, and written evaluation. (Bonus surf week - add $375 includes: an extra week of accommodation in Ucluelet, 5 day board and wetsuit rentals and 1day of surfing lessons.)
