Alpine Guru takes your privacy very seriously; we want to protect your personal data. Our site collects data and we have to use this data in certain ways in order to give you the best experience possible.

Collection of Personal Information

We will only collect personal information from you (such as name, address, telephone number, email address etc) which you have provided voluntarily to us either by completing registration or enquiry forms or sending emails to us. Please do not submit your personal data to us if you do not wish us to collect it.

Alpine Guru has a number of different site areas, each of these may ask for varying pieces of personal information. We only store the following information on our systems:

  • Phone Numbers
  • Holiday Requirements/Bookings
  • Comments
  • Password

Most of this information is stored in our database. We cannot see your password to the hotel & chalet booking engine as it is encrypted at this end. We can only generate a new one which will be sent via email if required.

We do not store any credit card information on our system. If you do enter your credit card information in our hotel and chalet booking system it automatically gets handed to the end of line service provider via secure servers (I.e. the chalet or hotel.)

Other possible scenarios of where we may ask for or collect your personal information include (without limit or limitation):

If you order a product or service from us we may ask for varying information including your name, e-mail, telephone number, delivery and billing address. These details allow us to process your orders efficiently.

For Alpine Guru business 2 business contracts we work with payments via bank transfer or cash.

If you enter a competition, promotion or survey we ask for your name, address and e-mail address – perhaps your phone number too. This is so we can run the contest effectively, and of course let you know if you win.

Collection of Other Information

As well as information that we ask you to submit, we may also collect information automatically when you visit our site our applications. This information may involve but is not limited to the use of cookies and web beacons. A web beacon is a small graphic image placed on a web page that is designed to allow us to monitor visitors to our site.
