Baita 1697 is a 17th century ski lodge located in a small hamlet close to Sestriere. The property has been resorted by an acclaimed interior designer and is furnished to a luxurious standard. Baita 1697 can accommodate up to ten adults and six children in five master en-suite bedrooms and a kid’s dorm which sleeps six. There is room for an extra two adults or children in the media room which can be converted into a double bedroom on request.
The ground floor of the property houses an open plan living and dining area with a partially closed off kitchen. These areas practically take up the entirety of this floor so it’s a really big space but super cosy due to the stone walls and historical nature of the farmhouse. On this level there’s also a cellar, bathroom and laundry / ski room area.
The first floor of the property houses three of the en-suite bedrooms along with the media room. The bedrooms are all of a good size and again have quirky corners and shapes due to the structure of the property. The top level has two further en-suite bedrooms and the children’s dorm room. There’s also a really cool viewing lounge and roof terrace with fire pit and hot tub
The media room has a wood-burning fire and can be converted into a double bedroom.
