With its splendid views, well connected ski area and charming village, St-Luc offers a tranquil base from which to enjoy excellent downhill skiing on uncrowded slopes.
Perched on a valley slope above the banks of the Rhône, St-Luc is one of five resorts that make up the Val d’Anniviers. The resort enjoys high levels of sunshine and spectacular views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks.
Linked by a single regional ski pass, St-Luc together with Chandolin, Grimentz, Zinal and Vercorin offer some of the highest snow-sure slopes in Switzerland, providing 240 km of piste in total. Linked with neighbouring Chandolin, St-Luc offers 75 km of uncrowded piste suitable for all abilities as well as extensive off-piste skiing.
Originally a traditional farming village, St-Luc is full of Swiss charm with an attractive church at its centre and pretty narrow streets. Accommodation ranges from characterful hotels to luxury chalets in St-Luc, and the resort is ideally suited to families and individuals in search of peace and quiet in the mountains.

One of the resort’s main draws is its uncrowded slopes and lack of queues, making for a pleasant skiing experience amidst attractive scenery. For the more adventurous there is extensive off-piste skiing, an excellent terrain park and some exhilarating long runs from the top of Bella Tola.
The 2015/16 season saw a new high speed chairlift replacing the Foret drag lift above St-Luc, greatly increasing access to the slopes of Chandolin with its open bowls and trails that drop down through mature forests.
The other villages that form the Val d’Anniviers are easily reached by road and are well worth making the effort to explore, particularly Grimentz which is renowned for its extensive off-piste.
With a small team of experienced English-speaking instructors, ESS St-Luc offers private and group lessons in both skiing and snowboarding for all abilities.

François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory
Sited at the top of the St-Luc funicular, enjoy an astronomical evening at the ultra-modern François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory. The Observatory is full of high-tech equipment, and allows visitors to see the stars up close and learn about the constellations through its 60 cm telescope.
