The Chalet at 11° East is a charming, family-friendly boutique ski chalet located in the high altitude alpine resort of Obergurgl. The immediate ski area is good for beginners and intermediates whilst the nearby resorts of Vent and Sölden are popular with families. The Winter season runs from mid November until early May and snow conditions are generally very good.
Though situated in the hub of the village and only a minute’s walk from the main lift station, the chalet has a tranquil setting on the side of the nursery slopes and has ski-in/ski-out access.
Set over three floors with a balcony or terrace at each level, the property sleeps up to eight to ten guests in four Austrian twin bedrooms and a bunk room with full size beds.
The chocolate box exterior gives way to interiors that are contemporary without losing the authentic style snd atmosphere of an Austrian ski chalet. The open plan living space is dominated by a roaring log fire and there is a choice of comfy sitting areas and a large 10-seater dining table. The fully-stocked, wood carved bar is a great setting to unwind after a day on the slopes and has views of the nursery slopes, the valley and the surrounding mountains. There is also a home cinema with comfy sofas, large wall-mounted flatscreen TV with surround sound, Wii console and games and a collection of DVDs.
On the top floor, there are four Austrian twin bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. A bunk room with full-sized bunk beds and an ensuite shower room is situated below the living area. All rooms have flatscreen TVs, iPod docking stations and WiFi and are attractively decorated in warm, neutral tones and cosy fabrics.
The Chalet at 11° East has a fitness area with a selection of cardiovascular and functional training equipment and a ski storage room with boot heaters. There is high speed WiFi throughout, Apple TV and a Bose sound system.
