With a spectacular setting in the beautiful Dolomites, Cortina is one of the world’s classic ski areas and is Italy’s most fashionable resort
Having previously hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics, Cortina is certainly home to some serious skiing. However, many people who come here take their shopping more seriously than their skiing and as a result the slopes tend to be blissfully uncrowded.
The main pedestrian street, Corso Italia, is lined with designer shops and restaurants and there are plenty of alternative snow sports to try too, including bobsleigh and ice skating.
Cortina has a range of accommodation but we recommend Chalet LV|01 for a seriously luxurious experience.
