Taking its name from its date of original construction, Chalet 1597 is a beautifully restored property situated in the Stubenbach area of Lech. From the Rüfikoft ski area, it is possible to ski down close to the chalet via a marked off-piste run. The centre of Lech is a three minute drive.
Set over three floors with a sunny, south facing terrace offering breath taking views of the surrounding peaks, Chalet 1597 accommodates up to eight adults and four children in 450m² of living space.
Many of the original features have been retained and combined with antique pieces, bespoke furnishings and sumptuous fabrics to create a space that is as enchanting as it is luxurious.
The main entrance is on the ground floor leads into charming living room with aged wood-panelled walls and floors and well-upholstered sofas set around a traditional heating stove. The adjacent dining room has a 14-seater dining table and glass-fronted log burning fireplace and is served by a separate, fully-equipped kitchen. A comfortable cinema room is accessed via the living room and there is a ski room wit boot warmers and guest WC just off the main entrance. Outside, a furnished, decked terrace enjoys all day sunshine as well as offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Also on the ground floor is the spa area with a glass-fronted bio sauna, massage room and relaxation area which opens onto a secluded terrace with a traditional stone hot tub.
A staircase leads from the dining area to the first floor bedroom landing with a library corner and card playing area. The magnificent master suite has a private sitting room and bureau, a bedroom with an emperor bed and an ensuite bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bathtub and separate shower. There is a double bedroom with an emperor bed and ensuite shower room, a twin bedroom with ensuite shower room and the charming children’s room which has four single beds and an ensuite shower room. The fifth bedroom, which can be configured as a double or twin, is on the ground floor and has a dressing room and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The bedrooms have been individually decorated and feature cosy fabrics in warm, earthy tones.
Wine enthusiasts will be delighted by the traditional stone wine cave and tasting room situated on the lower ground floor. There is also a laundry room and garage with parking for one vehicle (height restrictions apply) as well as exterior parking for two additional vehicles.
