As with in any resort it can be a challenge to know which chalet to book. We’ve spent a lot of time in Tignes in both the winter and summer and know the areas well. The high end chalets are located in Les Brevieres or the hamlet of Les Almes which is near to Tignes Le Lac. These areas are both a short drive from Val Claret which is the central area of the resort.

Chalet Opale and Ambre are neighbouring chalets that can be rented individually or together. Located in the peaceful enclave of Les Almes and near to both the Almes chair lift and Tignes Le Lac – Opale and Ambre are ideally situated in a sought after area. Opale sleeps ten in five bedrooms and Ambre can sleep eight adults and two children in four (one is a family room with interconnecting bunk bed area).

Guerlain Chicherit’s eclectic modern chalet

It’s quite hard to put Guerlain’s new Chalet Quezac into words – from the outside it looks like a contemporary take on the traditional Savoyard chalet but inside the furniture, artwork and detailed finishes combine to create an absolutely unique property.

There are seven themed bedrooms that combine striking artwork, natural materials and bold shapes – six of the bedrooms are suites. There are two master suites each with both bathtubs and showers and then the remaining rooms have en-suite shower rooms. The seventh bedrooms has two sets of adult sized bunk beds each with its’ own television. The room is perfect for children however can be used for adults if required.

Chalet de la Cloche accommodates up to sixteen guests across the main house and a guest apartment. The chalet has been carefully decorated with colourful furnishings and there’s an on-site spa with a jet-pool, massage area and a Jacuzzi.
