Designed by the architect and co-owner of two stunning hotels in Courchevel 1850, Chalet Black Pearl is one of the most luxurious properties in the French Alps. With a living space of 300m² set over four floors, the property sleeps 10 guests in five beautiful ensuite bedrooms. An inner walkway connects Black Pearl to sister chalet White Pearl and it is possible to rent the two together.
Chalet Black Pearl is situated on the edge of town, heading towards La Daille and the Funival. The resort centre, with its shops, bars, restaurants and ski lifts, is a 10 minute walk or a short chauffeur-driven ride.
The interiors are an alluring blend of traditional Savoyard stone, woodwork panelling, sleek, modern furnishings in shades of grey and state-of-the-art technology. Set under a vaulted ceiling on the first floor, the open plan living and dining area has huge picture windows framing the surrounding views. Beautifully upholstered, velvet-soft sofas are set around a modern stone fireplace and there is direct access onto a sunny, furnished terrace. A separate, well-equipped kitchen is adjacent to the chic dining area.
Five bedrooms, elegantly furnished and decorated in soft greys and shades of midnight, are divided between the first and second floors. All rooms can be configured as doubles or twins and have private, ensuite marble and stone bathrooms. Two bedrooms also have balconies.
Striking the perfect balance between style and tranquility, is the ground floor spa area. A relaxation area flanks the heated swimming pool with jet stream and there is also a monochrome-tiled steam room. Also on this floor is the spacious ski room with boot warmers, designer seating and ample storage.
On the lower ground floor, the fantastic cinema room has ample seating set in front of a huge screen which stretches across most of one wall. A multitude of TV channels and a large movie and DVD library are available to watch and there is also a Play Station – adults and children alike will be delighted.
Chalet Black Pearl is equipped with WiFi internet, Apple TV, Bose sound system and iPod docking stations for guest use.
