Chalet Le Rocher is one of the most sought after residences in Val d’Isere it’s uber-luxurious and has just shy of one thousand square metres of living space. The location is convenient yet private, at the top of a private road and a short stroll from the centre of the resort.
It’s a grand chalet with the entrance has heated steps leading up to an intricately carved antique doorframe hailing from Afghanistan. The living space is divine with mixture of cow-hide sofas, checked curtains and dazzling chandeliers. The fireplace is gigantic and the floors, walls and ceilings are wood-clad. Le Rocher doesn’t lack technology with the living room housing a sixty-four inch flat screen television with DVD & Blue Ray; there are also satellite channels and a cool B&W Zeppelin iPod dock.
The dining area is fit for a banquet and comfortably seats fourteen on high-back velvet chairs. Your hosts will mix some cocktails or pour you a glass of Champagne each evening before your meal.
The property has seven bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. The master suite is sixty-seven metres squared and has both his-and-hers dressing rooms, bathroom with bath and separate shower and a projector with screen. Every bedroom has a flat screen television, UK Freesat, a PlayStation 3, iPod dock and a safe. One of the bedrooms, dubbed the VIP suite, has a magnificent bathroom where the rock face, against which the chalet is built, runs the length of the bathroom.
Le Rocher is well known for having a fantastic spa area. There’s a seven by five metre indoor swimming pool with jet stream along with a steam room, gym, massage room and solarium. One of the coolest features is the wellness area is the cinema projector screen – for relaxing in the spa with a movie. For those who like hot-tubs fear not as there’s an outdoor hot-tub too.
Every floor at Chalet Le Rocher is served by a lift and there’s a ski room with boot warmers.
