Set in its own landscaped garden and surrounded by decked terraces, this luxury chalet accommodates 10 guests in five ensuite bedrooms. For larger groups, it is possible to rent the adjoining apartment to give a capacity of 14 guests (additional charges apply.)
Designed by local architect Patrik Polli, the traditionally constructed exterior gives way to beautifully lit, sleek and modern interiors that retain an alpine charm thanks to the extensive use of locally sourced materials.
The main living and dining area is bright and spacious and opens onto a large decked terrace surrounded by alpine gardens planted with fir trees strewn with pretty white lights. Taking centre stage in the living space is a spectacular modern fireplace whose whole structure is covered in tinted magic mirror glass which reflects the views of the surrounding mountains. Meals are prepared in the adjacent, well-equipped kitchen and there is also a rotisserie barbecue and al fresco dining area on the deck for those warmer months.
A private staircase leads up to the penthouse master suite on the top floor. A glazed gas fireplace has been built into the wall opposite the kingsize bed giving a romantic glimpse of the mountains through the flickering flame. The suite also has a private terrace and an ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and rain shower.
The remaining four bedrooms are situated on the ground floor at spa level. All rooms can be configured as kingsize doubles or twins and have ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms and access onto the decked terrace and gardens. Two of the bedrooms can be linked to create a family suite if required.
As its name may suggest, it is the chalet’s spa area that is perhaps the absolute highlight of this luxury property. A stunning swimming pool, complete with fibre optic and modular lighting and a fountain, has a huge south-facing window at one end giving uninterrupted views of the Alps. There is also a steam room, sauna, massage room and a covered terrace with an outdoor Jacuzzi. A cedar wood hot tub is situated alongside the barbecue terrace from where there are wonderful views. For the fitness enthusiasts, there are indoor and outdoor fitness zones with an extensive range of high quality cardio and resistance training machines and equipment.
For those who wish to relax and unwind in a more leisurely manner, there is a games room with a pool table and darts area which leads through to a cinema and multi media room with the latest in home entertainment technology.
